Welcome to the Northern Illinois Chapter's innovative INFOSHARE service, available only to you - the IFMA/NI member.
INFOSHARE is an email-based service whereby an NI member with a FM query can have it broadcast to fellow members - reaching the combined expertise of some 400+ chapter members! Launched in August of 2001, INFOSHARE has relayed 64 member requests and 436 responses to date!

Here's how INFOSHARE works:

  • If you have a question you'd like emailed to NI members as an INFOSHARE request, forward it to INFOSHARE@ifmani.com
  • If several requests are received within a close timeframe, INFOSHARE will broadcast all of them in one email (hopefully minimizing the number of emails you receive from the Chapter)
  • Any and all responses will be forwarded to the NI member who asked the question, and will not be reviewed, revised, edited, endorsed/not endorsed by any IFMA/NI board members.
  • INFOSHARE inquiries in each email will be numbered for response. If more than one request is in the email, reference the inquiry number in your response so it can be forwarded promptly and correctly. Otherwise, simply click on REPLY in your email system and your reply is on its way!
  • The email address from which you responded will be forwarded to the member along with your response UNLESS you specifically state in the response that your contact information not be forwarded.
  • If possible, please try to email a reply to those responding to your INFOSHARE request. INFOSHARE has received input that folks love the service but often wonder it their input was useful because they never received feedback from the requester.
  • Occasionally an INFOSHARE request results in an email from another member in search of the same information. Within reason, INFOSHARE will attempt to honor requests to forward the same responses AFTER THE ORIGINAL REQUESTOR HAS RECEIVED THEM.
    • We hope to follow-up with INFOSHARE users to get their specific input on this service. But we welcome your input at ANY time about this service.
