ARE YOU EARNING WHAT YOU ARE WORTH?

According to MSN Careers citing data from CBSalary.com and SalaryExpert.com, facility managers are to receive the 11th highest national wage increase in 2010 up by an average of 4.38% from $89,262 to $94,491.

If you are wondering why you are not in the same salary bracket, perhaps you should consider distinguishing yourself with a professional accreditation. Certified Facility Managers on average earn 18% more than non certified facility mangers.

Now more than ever, recognizing competency, establishing benchmarks and setting performance standards are vital to job security. Never before have public and private sector employers relied as much on certification organizations as they do today, and IFMA's Certified Facility Manager program was the first, and is still the only globally recognized, designation in facility management.

Are you or a member of your team relatively new in the field of facility management? The Facility Management Professional certification is designed to springboard your base of knowledge in the facility management profession, so you can rapidly develop the key skill sets needed to be an effective facility manager.

Classes are being held beginning January 29th at our IFMA approved partner's state of the art educational facility in Naperville at the Northern Illinois University campus. See the attached document for further information or contact Donna Mann at dmann@niu.edu
